         Mebux® spark plug threads

         Applications

Step 1: Insert the tap (B) up to the gradation in the
                                  existing thread

Step 2: Use the socket wrench (D) and the hinge pin
                                  (E) to insert the tap further until the thread is cut all the
way through. (The outer thread of the screw tap
protrudes 5 mm out of the workpiece).

Step 3: The screw tap (B) remains in the workpiece. Fit
the seat burr (C) onto the screw tap and use the socket A = B =
wrench to turn it further until the seat is completely Screw-in tool Tap
                                  milled out.

Step 4: Blow out any chips. Lubricate the Mebux®
screw-in tool (A) and screw the bushing onto the end
manually. Screw the threaded bushing into the thread
using the screw-in tool and the socket wrench.

Step 5: As soon as the Mebux® comes up against the
insert collar, the screw-in resistance increases
perceptibly due to the shaping of the last thread turns
of the threaded bushing. The repair is
completed as soon as the insertion process becomes
                                  noticeably easier.

Step 6: The Mebux® threaded bushing is now resting
compression-tight and secure from unscrewing in the
                                  workpiece.
