Shock absorber mounting aid kit
• Mounting aid for shock absorbers with rebound buffer springs
• Rebound buffer spring explanation:
- the piston rod of the shock absorber is pulled back by the rebound
buffer spring when tensioning the spiral spring
- with commercially available tools it is virtually impossible to tension
the spiral spring so that the damper nut can be released without coun-
ter-pressure
- even for a spiral spring tensioned on a block not able to screw the se-
curing nut on the piston rod during assembly
- practical handling- one-man operation
- No more shaky experiments in which the upper spring coil has to be
compressed manually with the help of a second person
- Significant risk minimisation when replacing springs or shock absor-
