Selection of the cutting material types when machining with PCD

Our standard range includes two cutting materials with the following properties:
        ADC ADC-S
ƒ Polycrystalline diamond as a composite cutting material with a cemented ƒ Polycrystalline diamond as a composite cutting material with a cemented
carbide backing with high cutting sharpness and low cutting pressure in a carbide backing (coarse grain)
narrow tolerance field ƒ With favourable cutting sharpness and low cutting pressure with narrow
ƒ Low wear resistance with high durability tolerances
ƒ Fine grain ƒ Low wear resistance with high durability
ƒ Fine finishing and smoothing of all non-ferrous metals with low proportion of ƒ Fine finishing and smoothing of all non-ferrous metals with low proportion of
abrasive filler materials abrasive filler materials

A variety of diamond cutting materials are also available outside of our standard ranges:
MDC DM TFC PD PDC-CU-S DP composite
Solid mono-crystalline diamond without structure. Solid poly-crystalline CVD diamond without binding Solid poly-crystalline diamond cutting material
Absolute cutting edge sharpness and cutting edges agent or cemented carbide backing. Perfect cutting (composite) without cemented carbide backing,
without notches, thus virtually no cutting pres- edge sharpness and cutting edges free of notches. coarse grain, favourable cutting edge sharpness and
sure (burr-free) and compliance with narrowest of No cutting pressure and compliance with the low cutting pressure for narrow tolerances, highly
tolerances ± 0.001 mm. Absolute wear resistance narrowest of tolerances. Maximum wear resistance suitable for milling tools with high cutting depths.
and highest thermal conductivity (HSC and HPC), low and very high thermal conductivity (HSC and HPC), Very high wear resistance with increased toughness
toughness. Super finishing of all non-ferrous metals higher toughness. Super finishing up to semi-finish due to very high diamond volume. Fine finishing,
and non-ferrous materials without abrasive fillers of all non-ferrous metals and non-ferrous composite finishing and milling of all non-ferrous metals and
(HSC high-tech). materials with high proportions of abrasive fillers. non-ferrous materials with very high proportions
Maximum service life with GFRP (80% glass) and of abrasive fillers. Maximum material removal rate,
                                          CFRP. CFRP and GFRP
