60th Celebration
à Neuchâtel
On May 27, 2016, Neuchâtel Junior College held the first of two 60th anniversary celebrations. Guests gathered at a formal ceremony in Neuchâtel. The 2016 soon-to-be grads, pension families and other distinguished guests from our local community were entertained by students’ musical and dramatic performances during dinner, and then everyone danced the night away! Sixty years on, NJC endures as one of the most unique educational institutions on the planet.
“NJC is a living, breathing link between our two countries because at its core are all the young Canadians who come to Switzerland to experience life outside of Canada. For many of these young Canadians, their year with Neuchâtel Junior College is just the beginning of their relationship with Switzerland, a relationship that will likely extend throughout their lives. And I envy the students of NJC because from your very first day in Switzerland, you are experiencing this country, this fascinating and complex country, through its people, living with Swiss families, as part of a warm and welcoming, Swiss community in Neuchâtel.”
