With the holiday season fast approaching that also means something else is close at hand – another fantastic ski season! I hope
you are ready. Chris Beckett and his Team have worked diligently in the off season to prepare the Peaks for your arrival. More snowmaking automation, improved safety features, some new ski experiences and even a few more offerings at the Bay St. Bar await you.
Reflecting on the past two years as President of the Board of Directors, it has been a time of significant evolution for our Club. We introduced Chris as our new General Manager, the Board held a number of Information Sessions for Members, we commenced our snowmaking automation journey and most importantly, we advanced plans for a new lodge with overwhelming Member acceptance. I believe we have made tremendous progress towards a bright future for Georgian Peaks!
Passionate volunteers built Georgian Peaks and have shaped the Club that we all enjoy today. Every day, I witness the dedication and enthusiasm of our Members to the Peaks. As we move forward, your passion, ideas and more importantly, your involvement will be critical to ensure we continue to thrive as the best Club on the Escarpment. Please get involved – don’t just share your ideas or concerns with your fellow Members on the ski lift or at the bar - become constructively active – join a Committee and volunteer your time.
I have tremendous confidence in the leadership that Wendy Townsend will bring to the Club and its Board of Directors. She is so passionate about Georgian Peaks that all of us will be better for her leadership. In addition, after working closely with our Management Team the past two years, I can confidently say we couldn’t ask for a more dedicated group of individuals.
Thank you for your support as President of the Board of Directors for the past two years. The Georgian Peaks Club’s legacy is strong. I look forward to continuing as part of the Georgian Peaks family in the years ahead.
In closing, I wish each and every one of you a joyous and memorable holiday season and a prosperous and happy 2019.
