                              the age of television broadcasting in Malaysia is over 40 years, viewers are
                              still served with quality advertisements. However, there are also shortcomings

                              in television advertising such as uninteresting storylines.



                   1.4 Research Objective

                          a) To identify a suitable website design to promote the company.

                          b) To determine the advertising strategies of a company in promoting a product,
                              services and public service announcement (PSA).

                          c) To implement trend design in promoting products, services, and public service
                              announcements.

                          d) To identify consumer tastes in television advertising design.



                   1.5 Research Question

                          a) How can website design attract users?

                          b) Which advertising medium can attract users?
                          c) What type of design trend that users prefer in advertising?

                          d) How can television advertising design can attract the attention user?


                   1.6 Research Scope

                       The scope of the research is limited to the redesign websites, advertising, design trend
                       and television advertising companies that have been selected for uses as the

                       inspiration and integration into design of Advertising and New Media.



                   1.7 Importance of Research
                      Advertising is always present, though people may not be aware of it. In today's world,

                      advertising uses every possible media to get its message through. It does this via

                      television, print (newspapers, magazines, journals etc), radio, press, internet, direct
                      selling, hoardings, mailers, contests, sponsorships, posters, clothes, events, colours,

                      sounds, visuals and even people (endorsements). Thus,by doing research helps to

                      increase the sales os SMI companie in order to preserve and restore SMI products. In
                      addition it can solve problem faced by the owners of the companies especially in

                      advertisng. Findings from this study will contribute to the dissemination of
