Learning Media Design
1. Needs Analysis
- Identify learning objectives and student needs to determine the focus and scope of material.
2. Preparation of Learning Objectives
- Determine specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-limited (SMART) goals to guide the design
and evaluation of learning media.
3. Selection of Instructional Model
- Choose a learning model that suits the material and learning objectives, such as the ADDIE model
(Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) or other models.
4. Media Selection:
- Based on analysis and goals, choose the right media type such as text, images, audio, video, animation,
or a combination of various media.
5. Organizing and Structuring Material:
- Organize content logically and according to learning sequence to facilitate understanding.
6. Content Development:
- Create or collect learning materials, including text, images, audio, video, or other interactive elements.
7. Graphic and Visual Design
- Design visual and graphic elements to increase appeal and understanding.
8. Test Prototype
- Create prototype versions of learning media to get feedback and make improvements if necessary.
Learning Media Development
1. Production and Implementation
- Produce the final version of the learning media according to the design that has been designed.
2. Initial Trial
- Test learning media with a small group of students or participants to assess initial response and
effectiveness.
