Executive Summary

This executive summary is intended to outline our thinking behind the attached proposal
and how we plan to address your goals, priorities and interests as shared in your request.

        Our Understanding
We understand from our discovery call that these members are a heavy international
group of educators that get to enjoy (2) receptions throughout their experience in San
Diego. We know that during their time in San Diego they get to attend (2) social special events known as the opening
celebration and closing celebration which both have themes that will surround each experience. Lastly, we realize
that the purpose of these celebrations is to highlight the creative destinations that the current and future conferences
are at while being inclusive and creative with the budget spend.
            • Welcome Reception – create an engaging reception for attendees at the SDCC in the Sails Pavilion that
highlights San Diego and the diverse neighborhoods that make it up.
            • The Closing Reception is a daytime reception held at the Marriott Marquis on the outdoor Pacific Terrace and we
get the opportunity to design a reception that showcases the 2026 destination which is Orlando, Florida
            • NAFSA also provided a list of the next few expo locations so Hello! was challenged to create a competitive
concession and rebate plan should Hello! have the opportunity to work with NAFSA in these locations (Orlando,
               Los Angeles, Washington D.C.)

        Overview of our Recommendation

With both receptions, we wanted to take the attendee through an authentic, experiential journey in San Diego and
have them taste (literally!) what their Orlando experience will be like in 2026. Both receptions are full of décor
elements that highlight each neighborhood or region, have fun photo ops, interactive or gifting stations, and musical
entertainment to tie in the sensorial experience. With the group size being so large we really focused on experiential
entertainment that is performative or can be enjoyed my larger groups at one time like the ball pit photo op or the
character greeters in Taste of SD or like the citrus jugglers in the Citrus and Honey Orlando experience. Some of
my favorite highlights in Taste of SD section is the AI photobooth and street performers found in Convoy and don’t
miss the amazing on-the-go citrus and honey market we dreamed up before guests leave for the flights on the
        closing reception day.
