Additional rules applicable to Legacy of invention at
Institutional Officials continued Mass General Brigham
Time commitment. Full-time employees on the HMS faculty may spend up
to a maximum of 20% of working time, not to exceed one day a week in the
aggregate, on outside activities. Supervisors have the discretion to limit the
time to less than 20%.
Non-full-time employees on the HMS faculty may spend a limited amount
of time for outside research, teaching, and other activities as determined
by the supervisor.
Gifts | Purchasing activity. Other provisions in the Mass General Brigham
Policy for Interactions with Industry and Other Outside Entities prohibit
the acceptance of gifts from vendors or potential vendors and restrict
participation in purchasing discussions and decisions if an individual holds “Taking the time to study prior art on your idea,
