Homemade Salted Chocolate
Directions
Cut the dates into small pieces.
Gently heat the oil un l it is liquid. In a bowl combine the oil, dates, and raw chocolate powder. S r with a spoon rst to blend in the chocolate powder, and then use a handheld blender, and blend well. You may have to stop and start the blender to scoop out the dates and blend again. If you do, UNPLUG it each me. It’s a li le me consuming but worth it. When the mixture is blended together well, pour onto wax paper in an oven dish, or on a tray and place in the fridge to set, which takes only about 30 minutes. Cut or break into pieces to serve.
I like to use a handheld blender rather than a food processor for this recipe so the dates get evenly distributed. In a food processor the dates tend to get thrown to the sides of the bowl and the oil whizzes around in the middle and the two don’t actually blend properly. With the handheld blender you may have to stop and start a li le to scrape the mixture out. ALWAYS unplug it between scraping it out! The process is well worth it!
