Platanus Orientalis

Plant introduction:

It is large deciduous arbor tree, up to 30

meters high, is a world-fa mous tree planted
in courtyards, urban streets and lawn areas,
known as the “king of street trees”. The tree
has a tall trunk, lush branches and leaves,

rapid growth, strong adaptability, eas^ survival,
pruning resistance, strong air pollution
resistance, and the leaves can absorb toxic

gases and stagnant dust.

Quantity and distribution:

It is widely planted on both sides of the sidewalk of BBAC MFA Plant
and Shunyi branch, with a total of nearly 3,000 trees. It is one of the
main roadside trees of BBAC.

Significance and role:

Chinese parasol tree is regarded as a symbol of noble and unsullied
character in ancient poetry. As the old saying goes, plantthe Chinese
parasol tree to attract a golden phoenix to your garden.
