Social media was valuable in in getting messages out quickly to to visitors particularly when closures were required due to severe weather conditions:
• Just under 6 000 Facebook followers
• 526 Instagram followers
• Audience was made up of people located in Dundee Fife Perth and Glasgow
• Facebook activity activity kicked off in in in October with regular scheduling and activity activity rising from 10th November and dropping after New Year • Facebook reach reach was was 375 795 and Instagram reach reach was was 13 084

M&N Events successfully negotiated a a a a a a sponsorship package with local media house DC Thomson The package included radio airtime and sponsored media articles in in addition to the coverage highlighted above which helped support WinterFest’s promotion locally
