FROM YOUR PRESIDENT
As your President I would like to encourage all
Club members to get more involved in assisting
or organising a Club event.
If you have any input and ideas please contact
the Clubs Management Committee. There are
various ways to do this.
You are welcome to organise a Club event, drive
or function but beforehand you need to approach
the Club’s elected Management Committee. Your
proposal will need to be allotted a date and if the
Social Committee already has a similar event,
function or drive already arranged a conversation
will be needed to identify a suitable date on the
social calendar.
It must also be noted that any event, drive or
function that requires the Club’s funding must go
before the Club’s Management team for approval
BEFORE you commit to any financial
arrangement – if it is not approved by the
Management Committee there will be no financial
reimbursement.
The previous statement regarding finances
may sound a little harsh but remember the
Management Committee is voted in by Club
members to manage the Club and it is
responsible for the Club’s finances.
It is the President and the Treasurer who have
to answer questions, when asked, regarding
finances not the Club members who spent the
money without prior approval.
All Members are tasked to urgently
discuss nominations for
SECRETARY and TREASURER.
These are important, in fact VITAL, roles
and the Club is not able to
continue to function without them.
I also want to bring to your attention the notification and information on
the previous page about the forthcoming Annual General Meeting.
Particular the paragraph below…
Please make this a point of interest to discuss with your fellow members
during upcoming Club events. Out of almost 400 Roadrunner members
it must surely be straight forward to fill these two positions.
