MARCH MEMBERS MEETING Sunday Drive via Amamoor to KinKin.
On what may have been the hottest day of the summer 68 members set off from Eumundi on our monthly drive. The route was via Amamoor for Morning Tea to the Black Ant Café in KinKin for lunch. Although an amazing number of 78 had registered for the event, it was not surprising a few did not come because of the heat, and many members chose their ‘daily drive’ with air conditioning! A few brave hearts brought along their drop tops to gather a little breeze.
Morning Tea was most welcome as a short revival for the inner man/woman. Disappointing that the Rattler was not chuffing along, but it was so hot that buckled , impassable rails kept it in Gympie!
After wending our way through the hills, relaxing at the Black Ant with cooling drinks and a fine lunch set the seal on the day.
Thanks to Wayne and Lynette Morgan for organising the event and also a fine sunny day !
PS : A certain couple who will remain anonymous (slight hint, initials AB & LB from Mooloolaba) got lost from the start and went via the Bruce Hwy. Cheats! LoL
