Handbrakes MORNING TEA @ FAIRHILL NATIVE BOTANIC GARDENS, NINDERRY
15 ladies 10 men and a snake! No joking! and it was the snake that made the main topic of conversation. The ladies wisely took a table as far away from the snake as possible but the guys bravely sat beside it’s sunny lair.
No mean reptile this one. It was about 3m long and looked big enough to swallow at least a small mini car if not the super T-Bird parked outside. lol Seemingly it is a regular poser for camera calls for people wandering around this excellent native nursery. Some members purchased plants before leaving and they all looked good and healthy – the plants, of course, not to mention the members!!
Morning tea was served by the charming owner – the raspberry and almond tarts were some of the best ever tasted anywhere – and conversation buzzed on all manner of topics with the forthcoming August car show and preparations high on the list... after the snake of course.
