        MEMBERS MAY MYSTERY DRIVE !
Sunday 9th May
Not being quite the experienced odometer and instruction reader I took a wrong turn about 2 mins into this Mystery Drive that started in Eumundi. I wasn’t alone as a few of us took the wrong directions from our given instructions. We had to open our sealed envelope containing the mystery drive destination, subsequently missing the eligibility for a prize – more on that later.
We had a fantastic roll-up with around 50 members and friends eager to enjoy a Sunday drive, stopping for a self- catered morning tea at Kenilworth followed by the scenic drive up the Obi Obi Road. Crawling through the many day-trippers at Mapleton we drove to our lunch destination at the Maleny Cultural & Historical Society grounds where all the cars were proudly parked on the prized couch grass.
Ken and Pat McGregor (trip organisers) had kindly donated the hire cost of the amenities block for our Club to enjoy a picnic lunch, with coffee and tea provided. After lunch we inspected the many historical buildings and their contents which was very interesting.
It was a really nice day all round with everyone enjoying the drive under another gorgeous Queensland sky.
9 drivers managed to complete the 2 stage drive from their instructions without opening their sealed envelope and 10 drivers managed a single stage. 3 drivers were selected at random to win a prize...
Tony Slattery and Michel Rety for their 2 stage effort – both winning a $25 Dan Murphy voucher.
Mark Russell for his single stage effort – won a ‘Bowdens Car Care’ product.
Cheers : Noel
