Wow, what a show our Car Club put on for 2024 – it was a
super day with the highest number of cars and spectators
ever. Temperature was a little high but no rain which was a
relief.
Well over 140 beautiful cars of many eras attended with
several stunning motorcycles on display also, and of
course Fred Flintstone and his Flintmobile were there for
the kids (big and small) !!
Katie Rose Hospice had a big day handling the gate
takings and offering a pop up thrift shop that seemed very
popular. Judy Watson was lucky enough to pick up a
Bugatti model car.
Some nice looking gear-shift trophies handed out this year
which were very cool indeed.
It certainly was a great day to catch up with other
enthusiasts about their cars and soaking up the
atmosphere of the show with live music adding a nice
touch. The foodies were busy with Cooroy Rotary putting
in a huge volunteering effort for the show, their proceeds
going to Katie Rose which is very generous. A bit of
shade and an ice-cream is always a nice treat too.
A BIG BIG thanks to Graeme Block and the Show
Committee, Will Johns and the Judging Teams and the
many volunteers who gave a hand in the set-up and pull-
down – so well done.
And to all those who brought along their shining and not
so shining (haha) beauties – THANK YOU: without them,
there is no show !
Cheers, Noel St John Wood
Noel’s Model T was displayed at Noosa Civic the week before and
The Flintmobile caused a lot of interest on the day.
