Handbrakes combined MORNING TEA @ BRIGHTWATER HOTEL, MOUNTAIN CREEK 27 AUGUST 2021
It was a bright sunny morning when around 50 members gathered at the Brightwater Hotel on the lake at Mountain Creek to enjoy coffee and scones or cake. The venue was superb, a great find by Anne McGovern – well done Anne.
We had been warned that the staff were concerned with serving such a large group all at once and that we should order on arrival to avoid delays. However, I found that the service was friendly and efficient with very little waiting time for my coffee and generous serving of 2 scones with jam and cream.
This was the first mixed morning tea we had held for some time and it was a huge success. There was a great deal of friendly banter and conversation around 4 large tables. We will certainly re-visit this venue in the future, possibly for a lunch.
