DAVID BRUCE’S Visit to Brisbane Motor Museum 13 July, 2024
My wife was attending a school ‘old girls lunch’ in Brisbane which meant I had to be the driver.
With this in mind I took the chance to visit the Museum as they were featuring Jaguar vehicles and as we own a Jaguar it was a must see display of cars.
There was a very good cross-section of Jaguar models. About 40 in all.
They ranged from the oldest, a 1940 SS Jaguar, through to a 2010 XJ X351.
Just about all models were catered for, MK 4, MK5 drop head coupe, MK 2s, 2.4, 3.4 and 3.8 Engines.
Beautiful E Types, MK7, MK9 saloons.
All cars on display were a very high standard of restoration or in very original condition except for a very rough XJ6 Rally car that looked like it had come straight from an around Australia trial.
My only disappointment was there was no example of my X Type AWD.
