Noosa Charity Car Show 2022 : Sunday 2nd October
Report from Graeme Block, President Roadrunner Car Club
I am happy to report that the Noosa Charity Car Show held on Sunday 2nd October, despite the inclement weather, was still a success, raising more than $4,000.00 for Katie Rose Cottage Hospice. Once all accounts are finalised, I will report the total amount raised.
Although the weather restricted the number of cars on display and the number of spectators through the gate, we can all be proud of this result and thanks must go to all who braved the weather to show their amazing cars and assisted with the set up and running of the event on the day.
Thanks must go to Graeme Adams – Event Director, Noel St John-Wood, Will Johns, Ken McGregor and all those who assisted with the organisation, planning, and running of the event. Their efforts ensured the event ran smoothly.
Thank you also to all the sponsors who generously supported this important Charity Fundraiser and to Carol Raye for organising the Katie Rose Cottage Hospice support and volunteers who staffed the gates.
Thank you to the Cooroy Rotary Club for stepping in at the last minute to provide food all day to the hungry volunteers and spectators. Well done!!
As a Club we can be satisfied that whilst enjoying our cars and the social interaction we have provided the opportunity for our friends at Katie Rose Cottage Hospice to benefit financially from the event.
We now look forward to the 2023 Noosa Charity Car Show which as of now is confirmed for the same King’s Birthday weekend : 1st October.
