PRESIDENT’S REPORT Hello fellow Roadrunners
As this may be my last report as President with our AGM rapidly approaching (where has the year gone) I would like to thank everyone for your support. I was unsure about taking the position but with the support I have received over these past months I am happy to say it has been a very enjoyable experience.
During my time as President, I have witnessed the Club continue to grow and our monthly Cooroy Sunday Cruize-in expand to the point where we had to move down the road to a larger car park which we are almost overflowing again. The cars that members put on display are first class and seem to be endless as each month new (old) cars are on display.
I would like to thank everyone who gets in and helps organise the various events and car-runs throughout the year, and also to everyone who participates to make these days so enjoyable. It is the events and gatherings that this Club is all about, a group of enthusiasts that get together to show off their toys and enjoy everything motoring.
A special thanks to the two ladies that have held my hand during my time, Myra Doyle our Beep Beep magazine editor and Judy Bickley our secretary. These ladies work tirelessly in the background of the Club and have been most supportive helping me to stay on track with everything (not an easy task) and I thank them very much.
The upcoming AGM is where all Management Committee positions are declared vacant and a new Committee is elected. All financial members are invited to nominate for any of the Management positions and the current Committee may stand for re-election if they wish. While I have agreed to nominate for another term as President, I encourage and welcome anyone else to nominate for this or any other Management Committee position.
Remember – this is your Club – let’s work together and make it great !
