I woke up on Monday wondering why I had so many aches and pains and realised it was from the 30-minute workout at the Big Bumpy Kart Track at Landsborough the day before!
11 members turned up for a fun Sunday morning – some for their first time including the only lady, Nicole Rety, pictured with a happy face after her track session, while husband Michel was out trying for a new lap record.
The competitive spirit was high between 3 or 4 members who engaged in tactics often seen in Mad Max movies. Noel Madigan set a cracking pace in his faster kart – I couldn’t keep up!!
The track was a little bumpy in places, maybe that’s why they supplied neck braces or maybe because there’s a lot of rear shunts happening.
Around 9 members went for the lunch at ‘That Pizza Guy’ on Steve Irwin Way: it was exceptionally good food in a timber and garden setting with nice conversation too!
