”Well what a year its been for the journalism
team at GFS, not only setting up the GFS Youth
Newspaper but establishing it as a must read for
staff, parents and students alike.
GFS Youth has become the go
to place for me to learn about
different countries and cultures
in the hope of visiting some of them when the
pandemic is over. Not only does it shed light on
different countries n r it also serves as a platform Mr Joseph Lunt
for parents and students to get to know staff H e a d o f Y e a r 1 2
members through interviews which are super
informative. Next time you have 5 minutes spare
I would definitely recommend you check out
GFS Youth, you never know what you might
learn.”
I have been a teacher for a long term and the GFS Youth
newspaper is the most effective initiative that I have
seen started by students, developed by students and run
by students. It is engaging, professional and interesting
to read marking sure I am always eager for the next
issue to be released.
They have the confidence and maturity to
tackle various issues and raise awareness
for important subjects sensitively which
will be having a huge impact upon the
learners in our school.
Ms. Charlotte
I had the pleasure of being interviewed by the GFS
McHugh Youth Team and again this team are working beyond
their years, you would think they had been running this
paper for years! All of you behind this wonderful
H e a d o f B i o l o g y
initiative, I can see you are gushing with potential, you
have very bright futures ahead of you and I can’t wait to
see what you do!
One very proud Mrs Charlotte.
