Kade Johnson put in a pair of impres- sive rides as he scored 2-1 moto finishes in order to grab the overall victory over fellow Cobra rider, Diesel Thomas. Bradyn Johnson used his consistency to grab 3rd place overall with a pair of 3rd place finishes in both motos. Diesel Thomas put his Cobra machine out front in the first moto and he had already accumulated a heaping gap of 3.3 seconds over Bradyn John- son by the time they crossed the finish line for the first time. Thomas held onto the lead all the way until the checkered flag, but he had to withstand late pres- sure from Kade Johnson in order to grab the victory. Johnson started in 4th position behind Nathan Hummel and Bradyn Johnson, put he used his light- ning speed in order to propel himself into 2nd position by the second lap. He closed down the gap to the lead with every passing lap, but he just ran out of time as he crossed the finish line 4 tenths of a second behind New Eng- land’s Thomas. Johnson started in 2nd place and only lost the one position to the Utah native of Johnson; he put in stable lap times throughout the rest of the moto in order to claim the final spot on the podium as his own. The roles were reversed at the beginning of the second moto as Johnson pulled the holeshot and Thomas started the race in 4th. Johnson set a blistering pace at the front of the field and never looked back, riding his Cobra to an unchal- lenged victory. Thomas worked his way up through the podium positions past Hummel and Johnson, setting the fastest time of the race on the final lap, proving his consistent pace throughout full race distance. Johnson worked his way past Hummel on the 2nd lap, but he ended up giving the position back to Thomas on the very next lap, latch- ing onto the rear fender of the New Englander as best he could, bringing his Cobra home in 3rd position as well as 3rd overall on the weekend.
