THE USUAL SUSPECTS
JOEY CROWN
KILPATRICK
Joey Crown is one of the most decorated riders that will be contending the A class at the 2017 Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Nationals, sporting thirty national titles between the United States and Canada, three of which have come at the Ranch. His most spectacular showing in Hurricane Mills came in 2013 when he swept the Mini Sr. class to snag a pair of number one plates. The Kawasaki rider had an underwhelming performance last year after a crash set him back during practice, only collecting two top ten finishes in 250 A and 250 All-Star A/B, but bounced back at the end of the week with a moto win for redemption. Crown has adapted extremely well to the new Kawasaki throughout 2017, sweeping the A class at the Daytona RCSX and also finishing in second position in both 250 A and Open Pro Sport at the Ironman Mid-East Regional. After an overall podium finish at Mammoth Mountain, the Michigan native will be aiming to get back to winning ways in his final appearance at Loretta Lynn’s before making his professional debut at Unadilla in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
