TAYLER ALLRED
Tayler Allred scored her first top five finish at the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Championship back in 2014 in the Girls (9-13) class. In 2015, she made improve- ments in the same class by putting her KTM on the overall podium with a third place finish, and in 2016 she made the jump to the top step of the podium with
a trio of extremely impressive rides. The Utah native continued to improve through- out the offseason by tackling a couple of local events before coming into the spring nationals full steam ahead. Allred stayed on top at the Daytona RCSX in the Girls (9-13) class and ended up scoring a third place finish in the Women Amateur (12+) class, completing a successful weekend of podium finishes. She failed to finish off the podium at Oak Hill in all of the Girls classes, grabbing a pair of titles in the pro- cess, in addition to a tenth place overall in the Mini Sr. 1 class. Allred earned another number one plate at the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship in tandem with a podium finish, demonstrating unwaver-
ing consistency throughout the entirety of the spring nationals. The rider out of Utah absolutely dominated the competition in the Women (12+) Amateur class and the Girls (11-16) class at the Washougal Amatuer Regional, setting herself up as one of the main contenders for the heavy hardware at the Ranch.
MIKAH CARPENTER
Mikah Carpenter had a successful second trip to the Ranch in 2016 in which he
was able to land on the overall podium at Loretta Lynn’s for the first time in his young career. The Cobra Elite rider made drastic improvements from the year before, show- casing another level of skills in his second year at the pinnacle event of amateur motocross. The Illinois native has had an eventful 2017 season thus far after moving out of the (4-6) class, starting the year with an abundance of podium finishes in the AMSOIL AX Ultracross class. March was
a good month for Carpenter ras he won back-to-back titles at the Daytona RCSX and the JS7 Freestone Spring Champion- ship, also finding time in the week that separated both events to grab a win in
the KTM Junior race at the Indianapolis Supercross The Cobra rider picked up another number one plate at JuniorMotoX just before taking first overall in the 51cc (7-8) class at the ChiliTown MX Regional, establishing himself as one of the favorites for the title in the class at Loretta’s.
