CROCKETT MYERS
Crockett Myers’ results have increasingly improved throughout the multiple years that he’s competed at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch. The Georgia native earned his first top five finish in 2015 in the 65cc (10-11) Limited class, and he went on to earn the first podium of his career at the Ranch last year with a second place finish in the 85cc (9- 12) class. If the pattern that he’s followed so far is any indication, the Team Dunlop Elite rider will be standing on the top step of the podium in Hurricane Mills when the curtain closes on the week of racing at Loretta’s -- and those who have followed him throughout the 2017 season wouldn’t object to that claim. Myers started off the season with two solid podium finishes in the Mini Sr. class at the Millcreek Spring Classic, proving his capabilities on the Suzuki RM85. He managed to continue with positive results at the Daytona RCSX in both Mini Sr classes, scoring a second place finish and a third place finish in the process. Myers wasn’t able to land back
on the podium one week later at the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship, but he re- deemed himself with a stellar performance at the Gatorback Youth Regional in which he swept both Mini Sr. classes, earning his spot at the Ranch in dominant fashion.
LUKE FAUSER
Luke Fauser had a slow start at Loretta Lynn’s in his first two seasons of competi- tion, showing flashes of speed with overall results that placed him outside of the top twenty. He showcased massive improve- ments last year in the 51cc (7-8) Limited class, constantly putting himself out front aboard his Cobra machine. The Pennsyl- vania native won two out of three motos in order to earn himself the overall victory in one of the most dominant performances of the entire week. He was clearly the fastest rider in the class, and he did enough to catch the attention of the Orange Brigade squad who have brought him under the tent for 2017 and beyond. Fauser earned one more national title at the Thor Winter Olympics before moving up to the 65cc ma- chine full time, and it’s safe to say that he’s adapted well to the KTM. The youngster earned two second place finishes between the Daytona RCSX and the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship, proving his mettle in the 65cc (7-9) age bracket. Another podium finish came his way in the same class at JuniorMotoX which spurred him towards two solid qualifying performances at the Englishtown Youth Regional. The newly acquired Orange Brigade rider seems to thrive under the pressure of the big stage, setting him up for more success this year at Loretta’s.
