JAZZMYN CANFIELD
Jazzmyn Canfield has been one of the most dominant riders in recent years at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, earning four number one plates out of five years of competition. The Florida native made history in her first trip to Hurricane Mills as the youngest rider to ever win a title in the Girls (9-11) class at just nine years old, setting quite the precedent for the rest of her career. Although Canfield wasn’t able to stand on the top step of the podium last year at the Ranch, the Team Dunlop Elite rider found success in both classes that she contested with a pair of second place finishes. Throughout the 2017 spring nationals, Canfield raked in a myriad of overall podiums as well as a number one plate in the Girls (12- 16) class at the Daytona RCSX in front of her hometown crowd. After a couple of months of rigorous training down at Sunshine State MX near the Florida/Georgia state line, she made the short trip to Gatorback Cycle Park for the Youth Regional where she snagged her tickets to the Ranch in both the Girls (12-16) class and the Women (12+) Amateur class with a couple of podium finishes. In the six years that Canfield has competed at Loretta Lynn’s, she’s only left without a number one plate on two occasions. If history is any indication, the Floridian will be adding to her collection when the thirty-sixth annual running of the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Championship comes to an end.
