TY MASTERPOOL
Ty Masterpool has established himself as one of the yearly contenders at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch with two outstanding performances aboard his YZ85 in the past two years. The Texas native showed speed and consistency in 2015, scoring two fourth place overall finishes in both Mini Sr. classes, and he continued to make improvements in 2016 by earn- ing his first ever national title at the Ranch. Masterpool made the permanent move onto the Supermini machine and immediately showed his skills on the larger bike, sweeping both classes at the Motoplayground Race at Ponca City. In a somewhat shocking development, the teenager hooked up with TM Racing for the 2017 season as the spearhead of their newly established amateur program. Masterpool finally showed what he’s capable of on the new bike after months of preparation at His 956 Facility at the second running of JuniorMotoX in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The Texan took an emotional victory to hoist the Jesse Cup and also rode to the top step of the box in the Supermini 2 class, proving his ability in a tight, technical setting. His confidence was soaring as he lined up for the Underground MX Regional and managed to continue in top form by sweeping both Supermini classes in his home state. Masterpool has always found a way to improve each and every year that he shows up at the Ranch. Will he be able to make it two years in a row with a number one plate?
