KEVIN MORANZ
Kevin Moranz is a quiet contender heading into the 2017 Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Championships. The Kansas native has seen success in Hurricane Mills before -- most notably scoring an eighth place overall in the Supermini 2 class back in 2014. He also managed one of the best overall results of his career last year in the intensely competitive 250 B class with a ninth place overall finish, setting him up for a seamless transition into the A class. He had an up and down start to the 2017 season with a couple of uncharacteristic performances, but he was able to redeem himself with
a top ten finish at the Daytona RCSX as well as a sixth place overall in the College class at the JS7 Freestone Spring Championship. Moranz has really found his form in recent months after battling to a pair of second
place overall finishes at JuniorMotoX, and backing it up with three podium finishes at the Spring Creek Regional. The rider out of Topeka, Kansas will be flying under the radar when the gate drops at the beginning of the week, but it wouldn’t be out of the question to see him up on the podium come Saturday at the Ranch.
