History was written yet again as the Amtryke World National Championships kicked off next to the decked
out pit bike track. The Ambucs is a charitable organization that aims to create mobility and independence for
people with disabilities; they manufacture specially designed three-wheeled vehicles as a part of their mission. Five of the nation’s fastest amateur motocross racers were matched up with five amtryke pilots. The name of the game was for the duos to race one against another around a circular course in a team effort to crown the fastest Amtryke racer in the world! The racing was
tight and the crowd was going wild throughout the three lap sprint. There were smiles abound, from the faces of the racers to those who witnessed it from the sidelines, everybody was engulfed in the jovial atmosphere that this race created. It was a photo finish, one of the closest of the entire weekend in any class of racing, and when the racing had subsided it was time to kick off the World National Pit Bike Championships.
