>> After starting the season at the first two rounds with solid top 15 finishes Chase Marquier failed to put his Ride365 Honda into the main event at round 3 and had a dishearten- ing 20th place finish this weekend in Phoenix. The #99 quali- fied 25th this weekend, but make no mistake this doesn’t show the real speed the #99 has. We have a strong feeling he will keep climbing the moto ladder.
The Oaklahoma rider was one position out of qualifying in his heat race when he tried to make a move for the final transfer spot that failed. Chase was forced to go to the LCQ, fortu- nately enough he was able to get an acceptable start and hold on to the final transfer of the night. Marquier was poised to put his run of the mill night behind him and get himself an- other top 15, A 13th place start put Chase in a good position to do just that. Chase shuffled back and forward with multiple riders before taking a fall on lap three. The young Honda rid- er held on strong for the majority of the race but crashed out in the later stages. Half of the season is over now and Chase is just outside of top 15 in points, look for some improvement next weekend in Oakland.
