>> Noah Mcconahy made a name for himself in the 450 class last summer during the outdoor series. The privateer was consistently
in the top twenty and even the top fifteen on multiple occasions. Those performances earned himself a spot on the JMC Powersport Integrity Electric Husqvarna team for the 2017 West Coast series but aboard the smaller 250 machine. The switch down to the inferior bike caused him to struggle and miss the first two main events of the year but he broke through last week at A2. He wanted to keep the momentum going this weekend at Glendale where he would qualify respectably in twenty-second place.
Mcconahy motored his #59 Husqvarna down the long start stretch in his heat race to nail a fifth place holeshot. Just the start he needed to get his evening going and despite getting passed late in the race, he still held onto eighth and a transfer right on through to the main event.
Mcconahy’s main event did not start the best as he was buried in sixteenth place after one. He was stationary in that spot for the first few laps but would crash and drop all the way into dead last. Many would have called it a night at that point but he stayed the course and dug deep. He would climb through the field weaving in and out of riders until the race ended and he was in thirteenth place match- ing his career best finish which he also accomplished last week. After a few rounds, it looks like Mcconahy is finally starting to click.
