>> The #70 machine started the evening with a 10th place finish in a stacked second 250 heat. Jay, Vermont’s Dakota Alix was headed towards the Last Chance Qualifier where he proved he was a force to be reckoned with as he sky- rocketed off the starting gate with the holeshot. Dakota had the early lead and did not allow the pressure of Alex Martin on his tail to falter him until right before the finish line with two laps remaining. Martin made the pass for the lead; Alix finished the LCQ in 2nd place. Bikes were revving and the air was thick with anticipation as the gates fell. Unfortunately, Dakota Alix gets together with Colt Nichols on the first lap re- sulting in a grisly crash. After being catapulted from the KTM, Alix was tenaciously able to get back onto his bike and finish the race in 20th place.
