>> Minnesota livewire, Chaska’s own nightmare, he’s from the North, a little snow on his frontier. No need for a sleigh, he’s prepared for it all, battled tested, orange crested, although he never falls. The number one is resilient, always in it’s prime, his brand resembles a convict, yet he never commits crimes. Stealing race wins, snatching away points, 25 for a race win, trophies elevate with hoists. All to familiar, he knows the drill, another round on the tab, time for the Perignon to spill. Drop the gate, Dungey aspires to retain his glory that’s been blanketed by a tarp of heavy camouflage, masked as an aiding ally, but the competition is cut throat; and anytime the see an oppor- tunity to strike, you most certainly believe they will. The adrenaline dumps
as the gate falls, the Minnesota entourage roaring standing and roaring for their hero. The pack dive-bombs into turn one, Dungey furiously sniffing the scent of the number 18 and his significant counterpart. Millsaps, although a hardfought effort, wasn’t relishing enough to hold the number one at bay; and as Tomac soared by the KTM rider, Dungey followed suit. He knew, with dyer urgency that he much latch on to Eli Tomac. The hometown crowd pumping him up with every millisecond, he tried his best to rally around the vibe of U.S. Bank stadium. His calculated style, never appearing rushed, but the purple gear and luck of the Vikings seemed to be no worth in hopes of lassoing the number 3. It almost seemed as though he got lost in a black hole, not going anywhere in a positive manner, but fading slowly but surely; just enough for a French bandit to come and snag the position away near the end point of the moto! The crowd booing in agony and disarray, but there was nothing they could do about it. The number 25 had dethroned his Baker’s factory coun- terpart, and just may have enforced a momentum swing as well. He knows what it takes to win this championship, and this race proved it yet again. Ryan Dungey would bring home a third place finish, and yet another solid perfor- mance in which we know all too well.
