>> Arlington, Texas treated Jacob Weimer well. He finished 7th place in the main event; his best finish for this sea-
son. Coming off a positive and productive race at Arlington Weimer was looking forward to charging ahead and earning another top ten finish this weekend at Minneapolis. Unfortu- nately, the Joe Gibbs Racing fill in rider will go to finish 7th
in the heat race not earning him a direct spot into the main event. Come the second semi qualifying race Jacob will hold his position in 6th place forcing him into the LCQ. Storming out of the gate in the last chance qualifier Weimer takes the hole shot and will keep his position in first place and will lead the entire race. Taking his 7th career LCQ win, Jacob finally moves on to the main event. Gate drops and the Suzuki rider comes out top ten in the hole shot. Weimer holds on to 9th until Tickle, Canard and Baggett all breeze by him. After crashing and falling all the way back to 21st the privateer
will build back his momentum and eventually work his way up to 13th. Weimer wasn’t satisfied with the way he finished, but will go onto the next round still reaching for those top ten spots.
