Without the support of The Ferrys, Stewarts, Bobby Hewitt, his mechanic Brandon, and of course his loving family and loyal sponsors, Jalek’s amazing run at Loretta’s would not have even been possible. With all the rain that the major amateur national received throughout the week of racing at LL’s, Jalek was told by his supporters to just have fun. Loretta’s really puts pressure on these young athletes and that pressure can either bring out the best or worst of the riders. Swoll put zero pressure on himself and just raced like it was any other race and was able to win two championships (125 (12-16) B/C, Schoolboy 1 (12-16) B/C). Swoll was challenged heavily by Derek Drake in the 125 class, both swapping moto scores in the first two races of the class. With one race remaining in the class the two where the title favourites and it was going to come down to getting a good start and running clean laps. Jalek got off to a great start in the final moto and was able to get into the lead by lap five and held on to win the title over some heavy company.
