LANCE KOBUSCH
Team Green’s Lane Kobusch is riding into Loretta Lynn’s Ranch aboard his finely tuned green machine as one of the favorites to take the title in a stacked Supermini division. The 15 year old out of New Florence, Missouri already has one Loretta’s title
to his name as well as a couple overall podiums throughout the years. He won the title on a Cobra way back in 2008 in the 51cc (4-6) class and he’s been striving to return to winning ways ever since, coming exceptionally close last year with a 2nd overall in Supermini 1, narrowly missing out to his Kawasaki teammate, Garrett Marchbanks. Although the runner-up finish at Loretta’s is an outstanding accomplishment, the highlight of Kobusch’s season had to be winning the Supermini class under the neon lights of Las Vegas at the Monster Energy Cup. It takes an incredible amount of skill and finesse to maneuver a professional grade Supercross track on an undersized Supermini machine, but that’s exactly what Kobusch did in a fairly flawless performance
on one of the biggest stages in amateur racing. The young Missourian has been on fire so far throughout the 2016 season and is rightfully deserving of all the hype he has generated during the build up to the biggest race of the year. Kobusch hasn’t finished off the box in any of his qualifying races, showing race winning speed as well as incredible consistency in order to grab his tickets to the Ranch. He made the trip out to Mammoth and grabbed an overall victory in the Supermini 1 class, sweeping the competition throughout both days of racing and consequently raising his confidence in preparation to best his
2nd place result from last year at the Dude Ranch. Kobusch also made the trip out to rounds six and seven of the Missouri State MX Championship at
the beginning of July and he confidently waxed the competition with multiple overall victories, keeping himself in racing shape for the grueling week of battling that is in store for him in Tennessee.
