A 22ND finish for any top competitor isn’t in their pre-race envisions, however, after coming across
the line in dead last to take the green flag for the Open Pro Sport division, Locurcio was satisfied
with the effort he gave to mount that caliber of charge. Moto two saw the Yamaha pilot scrub his
way inside the top three, following a fifth place start. Flicking the bike off of the newfound infield
triple, Locurcio appeared to be on a Sunday cruise, yet still chipping away at the leaders and pre-
senting an astonishing pace; he would go onto take a respectable third place finish. The third and final moto of the Pro Sport class, saw Lorenzo dive headfirst into the murky waters of competition, rallying to fifth place by the
checkered flag, and enough for eighth place overall.
