Aboard a highly-tuned Yamaha 250f, Locurcio knew this was the class in which he had to master; and that he did. A fourth place effort in moto one saw him trail Egan Mastin at the finish, and beat some of the
top in the division, such as Chase Sexton and Cameron McAdoo. A moto two mishap seemed to dampen the re- sults sheet, with a tenth place finish, but the third moto allowed the number 83 to rebound. Charging every lap, Locurcio would tick off an explosive charge, capping off his week with a solid fifth place finish; enough for fourth overall on the week.
