He made some moves and found himself in tenth position at the halfway point. And then just like
in the first moto, he turned it on in the second half. He made work of Oldenburg for ninth and then
with ten minutes to go he worked around Hampshire for eighth. Adam Cianciarulo was his next
victim and then he was gifted sixth place because of a DNF from Jeremy Martin. Nichols would finish in sixth making it his best finish of the season and his career by far. He would go 13-6 on the day for a career best seventh overall. If
he can get better starts and stay more consistent, we’re going to get used to seeing the #69 at the front of the field.
