Jordon Smith is fast and he proved that again early in practice at High Point. He qualified in 6th
place and set his focus on the motos. Unfortunately, when the 250 first moto began, Jordon got off
to a terrible start and found himself scrounging to get into a point paying position early on lap 1.
He was sitting outside the top 20 and knew he had to make quick work of the riders in front of him if he wanted to salvage this moto. He made some convincing passes early but seemed to be struggling with the deep Pennsylvania track. About halfway through the race, Jordon was sitting in 16th and looking for more. Unfortunately, he was only able to make up two more positions by the end of the race. He would take 14th place and focus on rebounding in the second moto. Jordon got off to another terrible start when the next gate dropped and it seemed he was ready to leave Pennsylvania. He continued on and was sitting inside the top 15 by the halfway point. He was able to make up two more positions to salvage a 13th place finish in the second moto. Jordon would go 14-13 for 15th overall at Mt. Morris. There is no doubt that Jordon will be looking forward to redeeming himself next weekend.
