With the track growing grotesque following just a few short laps of the first practice session, Broc Tickle looked to begin the day on a high note, and that he did, with an eighth overall position heading into moto number one. With his holeshot device set, a fist bump from the mechanic, and focus looming in on that prestigious thirty-second board, the gates fell and the 450 moto was underway. Tickle, remarkably pulled
off a start that could be worked with, that of seventh place. Holding his own, he fended off any competition that came near, as each respective racer lunged for the position that he had. He would remain steadfast throughout the duration of the moto, taking an eighth place back to the stand, and applause from his team owner’s. Staying true to his name, Tickle was doing just what Kenny Watson and the RCH boys expected, unleashing the eagle’s wings, and placing the Suzuki inside the top ten. Navigating each whooped out section with classic Tickle style, the terrain began to gel with the tread of his 450; each turn being conquered
in one swift, brisk motion. Fending off the likes of riders such as Phil Nicoletti, Tickle held strong, knowing that although his fitness was still a work in progress, his heart and effort are attributes that are constantly on one hundred percent. Crossing the line in tenth place, an eight-ten score on the day would leave him walking away with valuable points, for ninth overall; a commendable job by both rider and team.
