Have you heard of the quote “When pigs fly” ? Referring to something that will never happen or that it is very unlikely to happen. Well if someone was to tell you 5 years ago that Alex Martin had the speed to be a motocross champion you may have said that exact quote. Big Al has been a full privateer effort for most of his career until getting support from Rock River Yamaha. Fitness has never been an issue for the Minnesota native but he seemed to lack in the pure raw speed
department. In 2015 Alex was consistently finishing inside of the top 10 and even won a AMA Motocross race for the first time in his career, putting a staple on himself as one of the best in the 250 field. 2016 is here and the factory Yamaha 250 team wanted both Martin brothers on their roster. Supercross didn’t go as planned and some may have thought Alex was not going to produce. Motocross season fired up and the #26 has had the red plate for the first time in his career and is currently in the championship hunt.
