Cameron McAdoo turned heads and found himself the center of attention quite a few times this weekend. Securing a 2nd in his 250A heat and 1st in his 250 All Star A/B heat, McAdoo had a nice path laid out for the rest of the weekend. His 250A main event was
extremely anticipated but he managed to stay calm and get out front off the start. Shortly off the start, Bradley Taft snuck by Cameron, but washed his front end out a few corners later giving the lead back
to McAdoo. With laptimes in the low 50 seconds, McAdoo was pulling away from Forkner for the first 4 laps. Setting his fastest lap on lap 3, McAdoo was confident and riding flawlessly. After taking the highline on a berm, it gave Forkner the perfect chance to sneak underneath McAdoo. Immediately, McAdoo tried to retaliate but decided to focus on staying up and throwing down consistent laptimes. Dropping his laptimes back to around the 55 second mark, McAdoo was getting some pressure from Sean Cantrell but managed to hold him off to get a 2nd place overall in his 250A class. Cameron McAdoo’s great weekend would continue in his Open Pro Sport moto. He turned heads as he fought off Forkner for nearly the whole moto, with hardly a second in between the two. On lap 7 of his near perfect moto for him, McAdoo hit a tuff block, throwing him out of balance. With his unique riding style, he was able to recover without hitting the ground. This little mistake would allow Forkner to get by him. Although McAdoo kept fighting and putting pressure on Forkner until the end, he was not able to get by Forkner before the checkered flag and would have to settle for a 2nd place overall. Cameron McAdoo proved to be a threat to Forkner for the rest of the 2016 season. Thanks for a great race Cameron!
