Coming back from some time off, James “Master52” Lambert had a very consistent ride. Securing the 23rd spot in his College (16-24) heat, Lambert lined up for the main event with confidence. With a first lap time of 1:03.9, Lambert found himself in a top 20th position. Focusing on staying consistent and picking off riders seemed to be James’ main priority. On lap three, Lambert set his fastest laptime of the moto with a 1:02.8 Lambert stayed consistently in the top 20 of his class, and should be proud of
his 18th place finish in such a fast class. 450B was a roller coaster of a class for Lambert. After finishing 8th in his heat, Lambert had his hopes set high for the main. Unfortunately, a crash on the first lap would slow Lambert down and would eventually red flag the race. After a restart, Lambert found himself fighting for a top 20 spot. James’ lap times were hovering around the 1:05 mark; he fought until the checkered flag and finished with a 25th place. It was evident that Lambert was faced with a lot of challenges throughout his motos and he took each situation in stride and left Daytona healthy. Good job, James!
