>> Now that Arenacross is required in order to earn your Su- percross pro license, AX is filled with new faces and new tal- ent each year. Although fast amateur riders may have been successful in their past, Arenacross is a totally different game and there are veterans that these new riders have to deal with. One Arenacross specialist is Scott Zont. Hailing from Algonquin, Illinois Scott has raced professionally in arenas for most of his career. Always getting good starts and using his height to his advantage in the whoops, Zont is a hard rider to beat. Starting up front and killing the whoops, Zont leaves riders with only half the track to try and make a pass. Round three of the Arenacross series did not go as planned for Scott as a back row start in the Main Event left him buried in the pack. Avoiding as much chaos as possible, Scott rode his way to a respectable 12th place finish. Zont leaves Balti- more sitting 5th overall in the AX lites East Coast points.
