>> In order to bridge the gap into mainstream attention, one must possess a trait of instantaneous gratification when being viewed in the eyes of a fan. Our society is becoming less and less attentive day by day, and if the product in which they purchase is not an immediate grab and stronghold of attention, many will turn away and be un- happy with a quote unquote “waste of time.” Jeremy Martin bodies the word of captivating, and truly takes hold the reign of attention when scouring the racetrack; flash, rhythmic speed, and bit of controlled recklessness, often times leads fans on the edge of their seat, and begging for more. Anaheim 2 was no different; following the turning of the 30-second board, all 22 of the helmets dropping in unison, it was game on and the flame underneath the goggle lenses was lit. How- ever that fire that could’ve set the stadium ablaze, was quickly damp- ened by a sea of showers, when the number six came crashing into the earth in turn number one; he had known this position all too well, and knew that once he was down, the longer he pouted the worse the result. And therefore, he took off with dyer intentions of gaining every point possible. This track seemed to suit him a bit more, after flashes in practice, it was though that he could charge the corners with more of an outdoor style; the ruts and g-outs reminding him of the out-
door landscape he excels on. Fighting through riders left and right, it seemed as though he could get worked up and emotional; however the former champion remained steadfast and conquered the task at hand, for as well as he could. By race end, he would climb into the top ten; disappointing, but the momentum was building, as knew the next round was a place for offering redemption.
