Ken Roczen is bad dude on a dirt bike making it look easy every time he gets on one. Not getting the best start in moto one at Washougal he quickly pulled the trigger and worked his way from fifth to first all before the first lap was up. After jumping into that front position he knew the target was on his back, but he didn’t look back one time. Riding a mistake free, perfect moto Roczen finished the first race of the day with yet another
first place finish. In moto two he pulled another second place start this time behind Musquin, who was putting up quite the fight to stay in front. Using his mastery of the brakes Ken Roczen came flying into a turn and passed Musquin smoothly. Now out front in the lead he was in familiar territory. After Tomac got around Musquin he closed the gap really fast on Roczen. Tomac passed him like it was no big deal. Roczen knew Tomac was faster so he tried to observe some of Tomac’s lines. It didn’t work out for the RCH Suzuki rider though falling behind. Unable to catch back up to Tomac, he finished off the second moto in second place. Going first and second for the day, Roczen finished second overall, still maintaining a strong points lead.
