JOSH HERRIN Josh Herrin displayed incredible levels of consistency throughout the first couple rounds of the 2017 MotoAmerica season -- the California native’s finishes improved with each and every race as he battled through a subpar electronics package on his YZF-R1, eventually resulting in
a fourth place finish in the second race at Road Atlanta. Herrin’s confidence increased after he proved that he has the speed to mix it up with
the top Superbike riders and he carried that momentum into VIR where he fought for the lead in the opening race. He was on pace for his first podium finish of the season, but a mistake under braking ended the race for himself and Toni Elias earlier than expected. After running off the track in the second race, Herrin came away from VIR with only six championship points, providing him with some extra incentive for the fourth round of the series at Road America to get his season back on the right track. >>
